View your media files with PS3

Starting from certain version of PS3 firmware. PS3 can access and play Video, Music and view Pictures in a media server via UPnP. I found it works well with Windows Vista. Now you can play Video files with PS3 without even copying them to it. All you need to do is convert the video files to suitable format. And put it under the "Video" folder under "My Documents". Now I have get used to watch video files with my HD TV already.

Take a look at the video and do the configuration.

There is something you need to note about the file format. You must use file format which can be played by both Windows Media Player and PS3. A pity Windows does not support MP4 now so I have to use Mpeg2 format. Quality is still acceptable.
